Description
The Kīlauea volcano is the most active volcano on the Big Island in Hawai'i. Although not erupting now, it erupted continuously from 1983 to 2018. During those years individual lava flows from the Pu'o O'o crater flowed to the coast and spill over cliffs of the previous flows into the sea. This image is from a long-lasting Kamokuna ocean entry in 2017.
