Description
The drama of a volcanic eruption is mesmerizing. Lava eruptions can form fountains, rivers, lakes and in this case, lava falls. On the Big Island, in Hawai'i we have been blessed with the continuous, sometimes tempestuous glory of the eruption of Kilaeau Volcano, which as been on-going since 1983. While relentless, the eruptions of our volcanoes are rarely explosive. The lava, will however, take all in its path. This is something we know and respect.

Heidi Fickinger replied:
Thank you very much! This eruption was indeed surreal and amazing. It is strange it is over after 10 continuous years.
