Description
I am always amazed how many plants and flowers look more like creatures from the sea than plants living on the land. The stunning Dragon Fruit Flower is one of those. The stamen and pistils of this flower could easily be mistaken for sea anemones waving in the current.

If you told me you took this shot while diving off the coast of Hawaii I would believe you. What an incredible capture. Featured in Hawaiiana. Aloha nui!
Heidi Fickinger replied:
Much aloha for this feature Jane. It does look like it is underwater, doesn't it?

Heidi, at first I thought this was an underwater capture. Never saw a Dragon Fruit Flower, unique and amazing.
Heidi Fickinger replied:
I am a long-time diver and while photographing this flower, I felt like I was looking at sea anemones waving in the current. Thank you very much for your comments Neal.
