Description
This amazing exotic flower is Heliconia rostrata. Heliconias are originally from the tropical Americas, although several are native to some of the Pacific Islands. None are native to Hawai'i. Heliconias are often characterized by lavish, brilliantly colored and exotically shaped flowers. Some grow up from stalks and some, like this variety, grow in hanging displays that are breathtaking.
