Artist's Description
This majestic South African Elephant hangs out, soaking up the winter sun in Kruger National Park. Due to their beautiful ivory tusks, elehants are still hunted and killed by poachers. Although some decline in the slaugher has occured in Northern Africa, the level of poaching is still high in central and southern Africa, with an estimated 30,000 animals killed soley for their tusks.
