Description
Sweeping clouds soar over beautiful Hanalei and Namolokam Mountain on the Island of Kauai. The name 'Namolokama' means 'untwisting of bundles' in Hawaiian. This distinctive mountain often has braided falls down its face when it is raining and even after the rains have subsided. This phenomenone is due to the fact that the mountain has a very flat plateau at its top, where streams originate. This plateau area is a designated wilderness area and is protected due to species of plants that exist nowhere else in the world.
