Description
Snow Canyon State Park in Southern Utah has some of the most unique geology of the area and for a desert location. The entire area was covered by a huge inland sea that deposited enormous layers of sand in the area over hundreds of millions of years. As the sea withdrew and the resulting sandstone was revealed, several volcanoes in the area became active and covered areas of sandstone with lava. This image show some of this phenonmenon, with lava monoliths that appear to be huge creatures stalking the earth.

Love the shapes of the rocks, so many different things can be imagined from their shapes. Great work! lf
