Description
In 2016 the Pu'u O'o crater of Kilauea Volcano on the Big Island sent lava from its slopes to run to the sea, miles away. This ocean entry lasted for over a year, creating a large delta of new land. This image was taken at just before the sun set behind the pali (cliffs). The angled light at sunset, bathed the boiling sea in beautiful light.
