Description
This lovely orchid is a ground orchid from the spathoglottis family, specifically spathoglottis plicata. At one time spathoglottis plicata orchids were listed as vulnerable under Australia's Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act); however they were delisted in 2010, in part due to increased cultivation. There are many subspecies that are now available, such as this beauty, for home gardens.
