Several small ships and a sailboat ride at anchor under a brilliant sunset off Tahai on the Island of Rapa Nui.
The summer sunsets in Rapa Nui are resplendent. Being a curious sort of person, I wonder why this is since Rapa Nui is far from any continental landmass and has no industry, few vehicles and since wood is scarce on the Island, few or no wood fires. I wonder if the angle of light may have something to do with it due to how far from the equator the Island lies. .
