Description
Snow covers the beautiful volcanic cone, Haukea, on the summit of Mauna Kea. After the snow storm, rain fell the next day and subsequently froze. The icy snow glistens in the sun in this photo with Mauna Loa in the background and a sea of clouds rising created by moisture rising from the much warmer sea.
