Description
This is the exotic dragon fruit, a fruit from the Hylocereus cactus. Flowers from this fruit are incredibly beautiful, blooming only at night. The plant is native to Mexico and Central America. Due to its popularity, it is being grown in greenhouses in many locations - however, since the fruit is night-blooming, cultivation requires humans to pollinate it in most cases, since the areas it is grown in may not have adequate night-flying insects and bats for pollination.
